What do pregnant women use evening primrose oil for?

I’ve seen many posts about pregnant women asking if EPO works or not and I’m just curious what it’s supposed to do and what pregnant women use it for? I have some at home so I’m curious if I should use it or not.

Helping them go into labor! Towards the end of my pregnancy I asked my midwife about it and she told me not to use it... although I cannot remember why she said not to... 🤔 pregnancy brain is teal lmao! Just be cautious!

They use it to ripen the cervix for labor. I asked my doc and he told me not to use it though so just use caution and maybe ask your provider before you use
