I have a smart dog. She just moved in with me and my husband (my parents had her before). I’m trying to prove him wrong about my dog specifically, about that myth that old dogs can’t learn new tricks. Cause my dog totally could. So I’m going to teach her a new trick this week! The question is, what should I teach her? She sits, lays, does handshakes, drops items we don’t want her to have, and is so trusting with me that she can go off the leash and just be chill. So we have a great working relationship. Any ideas of what additional trick I can teach? More info: she’s about 9 years, a Golden Retriever, and may be developing hip arthritis, so nothing crazy like dog obstacle courses 😝
