Not wanting help from mother in law or mother.

I’m going to be a first time mom around May 1st. Both my husband and I are 31 and our mothers have had zero contact with babies or children since we were babies. I feel like they are both really out of date with their parenting techniques after talking to them. Also, his mother’s first language is not English so it’s very hard to understand her. Is it weird that I don’t want them to watch my baby while I go to work? They both live an hour away so my baby would need to travel 4 hours a day just see either one of them. I’m thinking of going back to work for 1 or two days a week when baby is 4 months old. But I really do not want to. I have a very experienced daycare lady across the street from me and to be honest I trust her more then them and it’s so close to home. But I feel like I’m being weird when I think these things about our moms.
