The Wait.

Dear God: can you please sync your plan with my calendar? Thanks! Ok so it doesn't work like that. Today in church the message was about waiting. How relevant! Everything about ttc is waiting. Waiting to ovulate. Waiting two weeks to test. Waiting to feel symptoms. Waiting the longest 5 minute of your life to see two little lines. Then when it's negative, waiting two more weeks so start over again and repeat.

I was reminded this morning that God uses the times that we are waiting to strengthen our character and build other aspects of our life that we can't see. To wait patiently is courageous, because to experience true patience is to have Faith that God knows what he is doing and is doing it right. And in that true faith during those times, comes peace.

I think pretty much anyone ttc could use that. So I just want to challenge anyone whose read this far (and myself) to use this time of waiting to build your character. Don't allow yourself to be jealous when you hear others' good news, or bitter when you get a BFN, or depressed when your ttc journey doesn't go how you planned. Trust God, trust that He knows, and let this journey make you a better person, not a bitter person.

Lord would you help us follow your plan instead of us asking you to follow ours. Would you help us to stop, listen, and allow you to work in us during the trying times of waiting. Would you help us to have courageous faith and truly know that you are in control. Would you continue in us the plans you've started, and help us to say NO to being bitter, jealous, or sad, due to our impatience. Thank you for allowing women the GIFT to carry out the life that you put inside us. If you've read this far, I pray this for YOU! God bless ya this week.
