Cost of Baby Pictures

I'm due in June with a boy, and I am trying to figure out if I can afford some professional baby photos. I have been browsing websites of professional photographers in my area, but I want to hear from you about your experiences. Did you have professional photos done? How much did you spend? How much time did the photographer spend with you? How many unique pictures did you get? Was it worth it? How old was your baby? Do you have any advice? Thank you!
