Glider?

Surely I’m not the only person who has thought about this! I’m look at glider chairs for my registry and all of the sudden I’m nervous. My husband and I are both overweight, but my husband is also quite tall so his weight is much higher. He is 6’3” and usually about 320-350 pounds. Do gliders have weight restrictions? Also, does anyone know of a specific brand that might sell wider chairs for big behinds 🤷🏼‍♀️?

We actually got a brown leather recliner instead of a glider. It was wayyy cheaper and we can eventually use in other areas of house if needed. There’s cup holders too!

We got a glider and hated it, it was too uncomfortable, now we use a rocking recliner and OMG it’s heaven.

We bought a recliner with a metal frame because my husband breaks wood frames way to easily. He's 6'6 250 pounds. And yes most gliders have a weight limit of 150-180 pounds.

Most important for us was a TALLBACK to rest your head on. Lots of sleeping in that chair when my daughter had to be held over night. Recliner would have worked just as well, or better since she didn’t care about gliding/rocking.

We bought a recliner! It works amazingly! I’m 5’10 and so is my husband, we both can sit it comfortably. I’ve even slept in it a time or two.

We moved my recliner from the living room to our bedroom and I was so glad we did! I ended up with an emergency c-section and was unable to get in and out of our bed, so I was able to sleep in our room in the recliner. Sure would have been tough in a glider (which was what I originally wanted, too).

We bought a rocker/recliner from Raymour for about $400. We will get alot more use out of it than a glider. Plus my husband is 230lbs and gliders generally support about 250lbs.

I would just buy a recliner. We personally never used ours. We just sat on the couch or bed

I’m not sure about the weight aspect, but get a recliner not a glider. Trust me, we lived in that thing for weeks. You’ll regret not having one

We got a microfiber rocking recliner! I can’t tell you how many nights I’ve slept in it while trying to get baby to sleep in his crib. Or holding sick babies while they slept. So much more comfy than a glider and ours was about $300 so not that much more either
