HSG-What to expect?

Can someone tell me what I should expect when I get my HSG done? I will be getting one at the end of the Month and I’m nervous

mine hurt horribly!! And I bled for 5-7 days afterwards. I also had a blocked tube so the doctor forced it open

It's not bad. I was super nervous to. It's like a pap then they insert a Cath that you won't feel. what hurts the most which is minor cramps is putting the dye in you. I was gasy after so rocking in my chair helped me belch it all out.

I just had one done today. I freaked myself out reading all the stories online. I didn't feel the catheter going in or the dye really. The only part I felt was the balloon blowing up inside my uterus. That hurt a little bit, not unbearable. It's not bad :)

I was prescribed a valuim to help relax my uterus for an accurate reading it defenitley helped with cramping,and the balloon that is placed into your cervix.
