Bottles?

How did you go about purchasing bottles? I know every baby has a different preference. Did you buy a few of each? Or start out with one brand, and go from there? I have a few Dr. Brown bottles. But I’m wondering if I should purchase a few Como Tomo or Tommee tippee ones too.

I would start with a small set of the ones you’d prefer to use. Most likely you won’t have any issues, and if they work out, buy more. If you do run into a problem, then you can consider what it is that baby doesn’t like and look for a different bottle that features something that solves that issue.

I registered for a 2-pack of Dr. Browns glass, 3-pack of Avent, and a 3-pack of Playtex Nurser bottles. Once my son decided which he liked most we bought more of that brand. Now I have a total of 9 Dr. Browns and it’s plenty.

I only brought 1 brand... bought Dr. Browns but only opened a few to let her try them when we got home. And then opened and sterilized the rest once I saw she was doing well with them.

I started out with 1 of 6 different brands. And I just used a different one each feeding, to see which was my baby’s favorite. He seemed to really like the tommee ones. So after that I only bought that brand. Try a few different brands, and see which your baby is most comfortable with!

It all depends on your baby and how well they take it.  I started with AVENT my baby didn’t like it I felt like the nipple was not right I switched to MUM also didn’t like it and finally I went to DR BROWN and she loved it. Plus that brand of bottles is good for them they get less air/colic. You will know what your baby likes and doesn’t like.

I got a bunch second hand then bought new nipples (only 2 for each brand). I have about 4-5 of several different brands so if baby doesn't like a brand, no big deal. I paid $15 for almost 40 bottles. It cost me more to buy the nipples!
