Have to shade in flower ???

So I got my first tattoo recently and I want the flower just to be outlines. The tattoo artist talked me into shading because she said the outlines would fade... what do y’all think is she telling the truth? I ended up getting the flower shaded.

all tats fade in time but it depends on the care. I have a huge tramp stamp and it's only the outline. been that way for 5ish years. doesn't look as good as when I got it done but none of my tats do. just gotta get 'em touched up

If a tattoo has strong lines it won’t fade much. Slightly because all tattoos fade some lol

Def not true, I’ve had just a flower outline on the back of my neck for a year and it still looks fresh and new

Tattoos fade naturally over time, that is definitely true, but it also depends on how good the artist was too. Skillz make a huge difference for sure, that being said it's your body and your paying for what you want.
