I Just Recently Got The Paraguard A Few Weeks Ago. My Doctor told me not to have sex for 7 days. I guess so my body can adjust to it. So after the 7 days.. I would say about 2 days after that , my period came on. It came on a early and this is its first time being heavy.. I always had a normal cycle .. with no cramps or heavy bleeding .. but I just want to know , Has anyone else experience longer cycle and heavier bleeding after they’ve gotten the IUD ? My cycle usually stay on for 5 days but now it’s the 6th day and I’m still bleeding.. Do the Paraguard IUD make your period last longer ?
