When to announce new pregnancy after previous loss?

I just found out I’m 5 weeks pregnant! We weren’t even trying I’m so excited also nervous. I lost my daughter almost 3 years ago at 6 months into my pregnancy. I don’t wanna announce something and lose the baby 😕 I have to have a stitch put on cervix at 14 weeks.

This seems like a very personal decision.  I have heard from some that they still announce around 12 weeks because they want support in case of another loss and some want to keep it to themselves to not have to have public grief if there is a loss.  6 months is a pretty late loss so I can understand it being even harder.  I feel for you and wish you the best!  I’m sure you will do what makes you personally feel most comfortable and I hope this pregnancy is only joy for you!

Same happened to me. I miscarried at 8wks. I’m 20wks and announcing next week at 21. Good luck
