When did your Lo start using eating utensils?

Playing with or using? We started giving my son a spoon at maybe 6 months old, but he didn’t really start using it to eat for another year or so

Whenever I introduce food they get a spoon, so around 6ish months (so they don’t jab an eye out it’s no forks until older). Even if it’s just to hold, but usually they can “dip” it into things like yogurt or oatmeal and at least attempt to lick some off while I feed them. Its good for their fine motor, gross mother, hand/eye coordination and overall feeding skills. I think introducing utensils and cups is extremely important for their development.

A fork fairly early on, maybe 14 months? But he still can’t get the hang of a spoon without dumping like almost the whole bite on him on the way to his mouth. He’s 20 months now.
