There are so many steps to having sex, and at any point either person is perfectly capable of putting a stop to it. It's not like accidentally knocking over a glass of water.
Sex doesn't just happen. I'm so sick of hearing this as an excuse for cheating, having reckless unprotected sex, any of it.

Even if your curious you are still making a conscious decision to have sex. Whether you're wanting for it to be more than that is neither here nor there. An accident is me tripping up the stairs. I didn't intend to fall on my face, but it happened. It was an accident. I don't walk around half naked, trip over half naked men and fall perfectly on their penises. I don't think 'accident' is the right word you're looking for.
