I need some aid and comfort

So I had unprotected sex this past weekend and I honestly don’t know if he came inside of me... my period was supposed to start around today (Wednesday), how long should I wait until I take a pregnancy test if my period is a little late? / should I be worried? / what are the chances that I am pregnant?

Please someone help me figure this out because when I try looking stuff up I get mixed answers and I don’t know what to do..
