Dogs even though I play with the cat more. Btw just so everyone knows cats are not really aggressive. They're playful and only want attention at certain times. If they meow at you in an alarming way when you're petting them, you need to stop. If you continue, it's your fault if they attack you

I love all animals but... Cats are SO much easier. They don’t smell bad or make the house smell, they take themselves for walks, they don’t need attention 24/7 😂 I prefer cats.

Cats. Cats aren’t as loud, messy, don’t require as much training, less likely to cause issues with landlords, more personable, independent, easier to leave alone for long periods of time, etc. I currently work in a shelter and dogs annoy me. I like them, but most are poorly trained, loud, and overly dependent. Even when trained many are pretty useless besides companionship. I’d just get a cat if I wanted a companion, I like dogs for guarding, hunting, warning, etc purposes. I like to be able to up and leave for days on end randomly so dogs aren’t a good fit for me. Dogs are also pretty boring imo, most are just genetically friendly but don’t have much personality other than that unless they’ve been specially trained or abused. I’ve also found that many dog owners are delusional and borderline obsessive/creepy over them.

My kitties are great cuddlers, but my dog literally keeps me alive on the daily so there’s no comparison 🤷🏻‍♀️
