Sex with my boyfriend

My boyfriend and I have tried to have sex a couple of times now and we just can’t seem to do it. I am a virgin but he has been with a few sexual partners. Everything seems to be working fine until he tries to put it in and it just wont go in. Does anyone know why this keeps happening and what we can do to make it stop?
