20 week scan experiences UK/Northern Ireland

I was wondering what everyone’s 20 week anomaly scan involved, we had ours this morning and after reading up online and chatting to friends we were expecting a really in depth scan, we were actually only there for about 10-15 mins.

They did check everything and baby co-operated so she got a good look at everything but we never got to hear the heart beat which I thought would happen for the first time, and when I asked her what size the baby was she said ‘as big as any other baby at this stage’ it really wasn’t what I expected but this is my first baby so I’m not sure what is normal.
