anyone here as experience using the Early Intervention program?

Question

My daughter is 9 months. The Dr suggested me to call Early Intervention to get her evaluated. She doesn't stand, pull so stand, or crawl. EI just called me to go next weeks just to do paperwork. I was told it takes around 45 min. How does the program work? Do I have to take my daughter somewhere? Will they come to my house?. it depends? any experience/advice?

I think this depends on your state. I’m in MA and my 9 month old is just starting PT. You do paperwork, they do an evaluation (standardized test), and then they let you know if you qualify or not and for how much/what.
My baby who doesn’t roll, but does pull to stand from my lap and bears weight on her legs well, qualified under “clinical judgement” for 6 months. EVERYTHING so far has been done in my home and will continue to be done in my home. She will get PT once a week for an hour for the next 6 months and then she will be re-evaluated.

the one used for my kids you can take them to the center or they can come to your home. so they get evaluated which basically the play with the baby and see how they respond to playing with toys and use playing to teach them to do things and see where they are at developmentally. they come once a month for a half hour and they are wiith the babies and at the end they make suggestions on how to show them or reinforce things to get them to develop. my babies enjoy it :)

We used early intervention for my son. He had many other issues but EI is very beneficial! They should come to your home!
