Dreams about ex?

He and I are seniors and we broke up over a year ago and both moved on already. For some reason I keep having dreams about him/ he pops up in my dreams frequently. He also stares at me a lot and what not. I know I shouldn’t care because I’m with someone else but common who wouldn’t be curious about this? Anyone have any suggestions as to why this is happening????
