anyone ever have bed bugs?

I always thought they were just a joke but recently I've noticed them around my house. How do I get rid of them.

Just FYI, most people think the term bed bug means they’re only confined to beds. These little suckers can get ANYWHERE! They like confined spaces mostly, but can hide in carpet, headboards, curtains, any type of furniture. They can easily travel from one household to another via clothes, purses, or luggage. 
The most effective way to get rid of them is to hire a professional. They have the right equipment and tools needed. I would suggest doing this pretty quickly since they can reproduce rapidly and the an infestation can happen.

R u sure they’re bud bugs? U say around ur house usually they’d be in the crease of ur bed and ur couch.

Get rubbing alcohol, 90 %, put it in a spray bottle and spray the bugs! It kills them in like 5 seconds. Put all cloth items in a high heat setting in the dryer for at least 30 minutes. They like wood as well as cloth. They Breed between 70 to 85ish degrees. They hate cinnamon. Best wishes, if all else fails burn everything. Always check your hotel/motel rooms for bed bugs! P.S. get bed bug bombs for your car and home, the purple can of raid. Bomb 2 times a week for 2 weeks. Vaccum everyday!

my best friend had them awhile back and had to get their whole house bombed by an exterminator, this is what the bites will look like though. (pardon my crack and unfinished tattoo)

You pretty much need to fumigate the entire house and wash every piece of fabric possible (and dry on highest heat) i had a studio apartment that had them when i moved in, and just the exterminator spraying for them (twice) didn’t get rid of them in that tiny place.

Look through your mattress and all mattresses in the house they are brown/black bugs but can become red when they feed. I have had them once got them from a neighbor who had them so bad their whole bed was covered and their walls next to the bed..
