Evening primrose oil?

Question

I’m 36 weeks 4 days and just bought some evening primrose oil. Any experiences, tips, advice? I’m already 2.5 cm dilated and 50% effaced.

My midwife told me to take it both orally 3 times a day and slice a pill at night and insert it vaginally so I’ve been doing that.  I am only 37 weeks so i don’t know if it’ll be effective quite yet!

My midwife said orally is fine once baby is full term. Vaginally may cause increased chance of PROM, so definitely research
