37 weeks and 4 days, admitted to hospital

Hi all, just sat here in maternity ward waiting to see what the next step is.

Breech baby here causing a few period type sins this morning, so visited doctor and was referred to see the maternity unit at hospital. After an hour or so if monitoring, it looks as though we may be in for a long wait today!!!

Doctor is called to see me and do an amniotic fluid test.... thank god.... waters still in tact! Phew!

Then examined internally....... 2cm dilated suddenly told “yup not be going home today”

Cut to me now, sat in maternity bed, tired but can’t sleep at all!! Contracting (well? Tightening with baby movement anyway) all day.

Now 1.04am and I am wide awake, be it anxiety, fear or just plain excitement... who knows what will happen next!!??? 😳

I have been given a steroid injection today and will have to have another tomorrow, hospital doctor can’t go see me st 11pm bud evening to discuss risks of c-section and for me to sign the paper work... she then tells me, I am in early labour 😳👶🏻💙

Maybe we’ll be meeting our wee man a bit sooner than first expected!!!!
