When is the first ultrasound taken in the USA?

This is my first, have no idea about anything. Have my first gyn aptt on wed, but havent decided on ob/gyn yet

It all depends on the doctor and what your situation is. My doctor won’t do the first scan until around 11-12 weeks. However, with my last pregnancy, I got one done at 7 weeks because of bleeding. Unfortunately, I lost that baby. This time I’m getting my first one at 6 weeks (on Friday!) because of some spotting and two previous miscarriages. It all depends.

My regular ob wouldn’t schedule until 8-10 weeks. Hoping my specialist will do one earlier 😊

Mine was at 5 weeks 2 days but that’s only because they thought I was 8 weeks
