When does the bleeding stop?

My I’ll be 4 weeks PP tomorrow and still having light bleeding. Sometimes just spotting and I’m down to one light pad a day. That said I heard that you don’t have periods when your breast feeding. Is this true? When does the bleeding stop? When should I expect reg periods again?

Lochia has different stages. On average it lasts 5 weeks. When your period returns us up to your body. You could get it a year from now or in two weeks.

It’s different. I breastfed both my kids. With my first, I bled for 5 weeks then it stopped for a day or two then I got a period. I didn’t get another period till he turned 8 months. With my daughter, I stopped bleeding around 4 weeks but continued to spot till 6 weeks. I got my period at 8 months.

It’s different for every woman honestly so it’s hard to say. I stopped bleeding at 3 weeks PP and I was exclusively breastfeeding and I didn’t get my period back until 12 months PP when I weaned her off.
