I just had my first appointment and they didn't do anything beside take my history and tell me some do's and don'ts. I was there for 2 hours, mostly in the waiting room, so that pissed me off because they messed up my appointment time. In addition, the midwife was pushing nutrition counseling (because I am overweight, as I gained 30 pounds after getting off birth control) and when I told her that I have done that before, I know how to eat healthy and I excercise 6 days a week, I could tell she didn't believe me. Then she told me that it was required that I do HIV, gonorrhea and chlamydia testing for their safety, even though I know I am clean and have been with my husband for 6 years. Has anyone else been through this? She was also very judgemental that I won't get a flu shot. I already made an appointment with another clinic in town, but just wanted to know if this sounded normal?
