What do Braxton Hicks contractions feel like?

I have been for the past few hours feeling some super strong pressure in my abdomen. It is like it tenses up and burns for a few seconds then releases. I’m 19 weeks and now that I’m laying down I’m getting these pains every 5 minutes.

Braxton Hicks for me, is tightening of the stomach, stomach feels hard to touch, can slightly take your breath away- but they’re never painful.

Drink some water and put your feet up, and see if they stop. If it stops, then it's probably Braxton Hicks. If it continues coming regularly and becomes painful, I would call your doctor just to see what they say. I haven't felt any yet this pregnancy (currently 24 weeks), but with my first it just felt like my stomach would tense up and get hard and then release. They weren't painful at all to me and a lot of times I didn't even know it was happening. Everyone is different, though.
