How much blood during your period is too much ?

This is my second day and I have changed my pad 5x today using the 
night time 10hr pads. I also clotting have clotting. We have been trying to get pregnant but negative PT.

I get large clots usually the first two days of my period. Keep an eye on it.

I went to the E.R and after several test the doctors said the excessive bleeding was due to my hormones. I was so upset. I sat there in what was basically a pile of blood not knowing what was wrong with me for almost 4 hrs. I kept asking about my labs my PT test. Nothing! Nurse kept saying oh I haven’t checked or test have not come back... and all that worry for nothing. Well I’m glad I have good health insurance bc this period was not cheap. I will make an appointment with a Gynecologist tomorrow.

if you fill a pad every hour,thats to much.  I have multiple clots with each bathroom trip and have to wipe 2-3 times due to the amount of blood,I fill a pad fill within 1-3 hours. I have medical reasons for that though.

You may need to get checked, that isn’t normal clotting. It could be a miscarriage it’s to much blood.
