Singleton after twins...how is it different?

Question

For *only* those who had a singleton after twins, did you find that your singleton got far less attention and doting over because he/she didn't have the "twin magic." 
I have twins, and we are stopped wherever we go...everyday...constantly...and my babies are doted over by everyone because they are twins. I love it! It give my babies stimulation. 
My singleton mom friends do not receive this kind of attention, I noticed. People walk past their baby without even a glance. So, I wondered if I have another kid and it's a singleton, will I miss that "fame" I am used to with twins? 
This is an honest question, so please only respond kindly.

Yes. All my singletons have got less attention from family especially. From strangers? Yes and no. The first year they got a ton of attention from strangers cause it was obvious they were twins. When they got older, it was less obvious and they stopped the doting. In general though, all my babies have received attention from strangers. My singletons were pure mamas girls so they would cry, lol, people aren’t fond of that, whereas my twins were like little social butterflies.

It’s really got to be tough on the sibling that isn’t a twin. But it’d also a lot about how you raise them, I suppose. Notice how they react to the attention their siblings get and make sure they feel special being part of such a unique and special family. It’s also very special to be a sibling of a twin, too! 
I’m expecting identical girls in a few weeks and we are pretty sure we are done after this. Just two! 
But I’m also a fraternal twin myself, my sister and I have a brother 3 yrs older than us. Being the non-twin of us siblings was so hard on him prob from when we were born till when he wen my to middle school. 
My parents did their best but my mom really soaked up the twin attention and ran with it. My dad worked full time and owned a business and was busy. He’s an incredible dad but he was absent a lot, helping to support his small family. Being around mostly our mom till evenings, we were toted around town like little trophies. I’ve seen home video footage where all my non does is videotape me and my twin sister and when my brother comes into the frame she tells him to go away, it’s not his turn. He’s like 7 and you can see the pain and rejection on his face. He wasn’t important because now my mom had these special twin daughters. It affected our sibling relationship for so long. As pre-trends and teenagers my brother HATED us. He bullied us relentlessly. 
Funny enough, my brother and I are closer today than ever. Even close than I am with my own twin. We grew up and realized that the strain in our relationship was caused by my mom’s parenting and lack of focus on her one Singleton child. So if I had recommendations, it’s to be inclusive and to make sure friends and family are, too. If you have a third child, find ways to make some things all about them. Twins are very special but so are all babies and kids. Celebrate them and make them feel just as special.
