My God Moment ❤️
A few days ago, I was reminded by God how easily your mindset can destroy the way you view things. With every Valentines Day, my husband asks what I want. This year I said nothing because it’s the truth and I have everything I could ever want. I had no EXPECTATIONS and that’s when everything changed. When I had EXPECTATIONS in years past on Valentine’s Day, I was devastated when my EXPECTATIONS never became REALITY. Unmet expectations. The other day in my devotional, they talked about unmet expectations DESTROY your faith and turn your faith into fear. When you place EXPECTATIONS on God and his plan for you; that’s when your unmet expectations turn what God had for you into blessings you no longer can see. When Gods plan becomes your REALITY, you can’t see it because of the restrictions and EXPECTATIONS you put on the situation. When you choose to have no expectations for certain things or situations in your life, that’s when you clearly see what God has been working on.
My husband and I are both 27, have been TTC since March 2017. We have conceived and lost 3 little ones so far (April, August and Sept) After the 3rd loss, I switched OBs. My new OB within a month, realized my thyroid wasn’t functioning right. We are working on controlling that now. A week ago, I found out that I also have PCOS and anovulatory cycles (where you have your normal cycle but your levels aren’t high enough to produce an egg) as well. We continue to have faith that God is at work behind the scenes. Even when it seems like we hit another bump; God is there in these little moments & these little moments are what you’re going to look back at in the end and see God in every step and turn you took in this heartbreaking season. Don’t give up on him because he always keeps his promises. Maybe you just have a few more lessons that he wants you to learn.
