Traveling with 2 month old?

Hi, my due date is May 19th FTM and we have a family trip to Hawaii planned july 25. Im in CA so its just one flight nonstop. Is flying with a barely two month old okay? Have any moms done something similar with their babies? If so, do you have any advice to share? Thanks in advance!

Honestly, it’s almost easier at that age than a few months later when they start to want to be moving around a lot. Just be sure to pack some patience, and an extra bag of humor, because there will for sure be challenging moments. 😆

I travelled with an 8 month old and it was awful. I feel like traveling with a newborn would be much easier! Baby wear, feed at take off and landing (like another mentioned), and with any luck baby will sleep most of the travel time! The worst part would be navigating night feedings in an unfamiliar environment. Traveling with young kiddos is never a vacation lol

Feed at take off & landing because it will help them equalize pressure in their ears. We did a road trip with my son when he was 7 weeks for a funeral. We made sure he got his shots done at 6 weeks (so a little early) to make sure he had at least some immunity built up before traveling.

We are taking a one week vacation when baby is around 8 weeks.  Our first will be 1.5 years and we know she will be the problem child lol

I plan on doing London to Boston at 10 weeks.  I have no advice yet, just hoping it won’t be a nightmare!

I traveled with my first at 2 months bc we had a wedding. I fed him and changed him before boarding. Kept him in a wrap on the plane and he slept the whole time! Great experience.

Ive heard it’s easiest to fly with them that young. You can nurse while taking off and landing to keep them happy and help their ears not hurt
