I’m so confused! I ordered a fetal Doppler off of amazon at 10 weeks. Not a super fancy one, it was definitely on the cheaper end. Every time I’ve used it I’ve been able to find the heartbeat on my left side, not having to push hard at all. (I’ve heard both mine and babies heartbeat, so I definitely know what I’m looking for.) Well the morning of my dr. Apt at 12 weeks 1 day I used the Doppler and again heard it loud and clear on the left side. Went to the dr. Later that day and she begins to use a Doppler.. barely looking on the left side, and pushing quite hard after not being able to find it for the first few minutes eventually she finds it on the right. I’m so confused. How is it the only time it is heard on the right is by the dr. Using a much better machine, and having to push pretty hard down to hear it. When literally every time, even same day I hear it on the left, putting little to no pressure!? I’ve had an ultrasound at 6 weeks and 8 weeks only showing one baby. Is it possible to miss a twin? Or is it possible this early on to hear it on the other side only a few hours later from where it was heard prior? Does the baby move around that much at 12 weeks?! Anyone else experience a similar situation??
