UTI urine tests and weed

I read online that doctors won’t scan urine for the metabolite that weed produces as you metabolize it if they are just doing a basic bacterial scan because it costs more money and that’s not what they’re looking for.

I wanted to know if this is true. I used it once last weekend for the first time in over a year, really hated it and remembered when I haven’t used it in so long. I don’t plan on using it again.

But now I have a UTI and I need to do a urine test.

It’s been about 5 days since I used it (on Sunday) but I don’t want the doctors to find it and I read a few articles saying it takes about 8 days to get out of the system of a one time user. Should I wait to go to the doctors? I’ve managed the symptoms pretty well and the urge to pee and the pain has actually gone down significantly over the past 2 days.

Any advice would be extremely helpful.
