Experience with pacifiers?

Pros? Cons? When to use them?

My lo is almost a week and we planned on not using then at all but if we don’t she sucks on her hands. It’s easier to break a paci habit then a thumb habit

I used one with my son until he decided he didn’t want it anymore at about 3 or 4 months. 
Then again my cousin uses them with her children and they are 4 and 6 (7 in nov) and both still suck on them 24/7. 
If you use them you should set how long you plan on allowing them. That’s what we’re going to be doing with the twins.

I didn't really use them I breast feed and my son is now 3 and still no pacifier he just doesn't sleep alone... I had them just in case until he was about 6 mons.and then threw them away bc he never used them. but all babes are different. 🤗Best of luck sweety!!!

Anything to make my life easier. I’m no martyr. I’ve used them from birth and he pretty much only wants it to soothe himself to sleep. Dummy clips are cute too

Son used them briefly and then totally stopped at 4 months 🤷‍♀️

We've done great with them. But it does help that LO doesn't really like them except if I do a switch-a-roo between it and the bottle if I run out of food. He mainly just suckles on his tongue.

Didn’t plan on using them but nap times go so much smoother and when we’re out and about but he gets fussy. Also it helps him to not over eat.
