Normal to buy things before conception?

My s/o and i both agree that while we are TTC and before the baby is born that we will buy whatever good deals come about, whether it be car seat/stroller. We plan on stocking on wipes, bottles, diapers and plenty of gender neutral bibs/toys. I think its smart, but some think its a bad idea!

It could be a good idea (don’t get too many newborn things) I would go with a pack and play instead of a bassinet (they outgrow them so quick). Just remember things including car seats have expiration dates. I wish you the best of luck 🙂

We did and it was nice to have items waiting. The pack n play we liked was getting clearances so we bought it, had both gender clothes we thought were cute

I think you should wait until you are actually pregnant to start buying things. For some
people it takes a while to conceive (it took me 4 years) and if you buy a few things it might make you upset to see them if you are struggling. But once you are you should definitely act on any great deal!

I wouldn’t do it. Heaven forbid.. but it takes some couples years to have a baby. The car seat could expire.. Also there’s something that no one really tells you until after you have kids lol. But there no need for buying a lot of the things we buy (the infant laundry soap, wipe warmer, newborn diapers and clothes) babies grow so fast that buying diapers ahead of time is completely unnecessary. I’d just save money to the side for them .
