When in labor what did you use? Epidural, gas, morphine, or nothing. And how did it work for you?

Always go in with an open mind, of course. I tried IV meds because I was against epidural but the pain was unbearable after my water broke (I was also getting pitocin) and that didn’t help AT ALL lol I wish I hadn’t gotten them because it was unnecessary drugs at the point in my body. I went for the epidural after that. AMAZING. I got to calm down and be relaxed to enjoy the experience and my family. And I got to calm when my birth went horribly wrong trying to push lol but epidural for sure was the best thing everrr

epidural - it was wonderful. i had been in labor for over 24 hours at that point, and as soon as they put it in i was a different person. only side effect was that i was a bit itchy.

water and an acupuncture needle in the forehead. I'm going the same route with babe number two.

Epidural. It was absolutely amazing! I had no pain what so ever once I got it. Only felt a little pressure when pushing my child out. Never needed a catheter and was up walking around 2 hours after I had my son. Had a second degree tear that I didn’t even know happened and didn’t feel them stitch me up either. I will definitely get one next time as well (as long as I’m able too).
