Placenta previa, anyone ?

So I just came back from the drs and they said I have the placenta on my cervix. I’m 15.3 weeks and not sure what this is or anything about it. Was just looking for tips and info about placenta previa. Can the placenta move in time ? I’m going back to the doctors tomorrow. Any stories good and bad are welcome

I have placenta previa. I'm 36 weeks now. I spotted and bled throughout my entire pregnancy. Early 3rd trimester I had a few glorious weeks of no bleeding! Then it came back here and there, but much less frequently. At my last scan my Dr said that mine had moved from a complete previa to a partial previa (so it's only covering the cervix a little bit). I have an ultrasound tomorrow morning to determine if I will be able to deliver vaginally or if I will require a cesarean. Hoping my placenta kept on moving! I read that in 75% of cases the placenta will move by 20 weeks. So, you'll likely experience some bleeding but don't hesitate to go to the hospital to have it checked out. I found a doppler was helpful too. I never had a hard time finding the heartbeat, so when it was super late and I was bleeding (again) I checked for the heartbeat and went to the Dr in the morning instead of ER in the middle of the night.

Yes I found out when I went to the ER at 15 weeks when I got in my car accident I’m now 18 weeks tomorrow and last Friday at my ultrasound appointment to check on the pain and pressure I was having they told me my placenta has moved some. I go back in 7 days to find out gender and stuff and have a prenatal appointment right after so I’ll see what my doctor says. I was told it would move while my uterus stretches.

I had slight bleeding at 16 due to the placenta being on my cervix, my dr wasn’t worried and said more then likely it would move up as my uterus stretched. At my last ultrasound at 23 weeks they said it had moved up and was no longer covering my cervix. Best of luck to you!

I had complete previa, placenta covering cervix. It stayed there up until 24 weeks? I think and at my appointment it had moved enough to deliver naturally instead of having the scheduled C-section.

My doctor advised no heavy lifting, sex (learned that before appointment, had sex a began bleeding), or straining activities. This is due to the placenta having an enormous amount of blood flow. Too much activity can cause bleeding and other worse complications. I wasn't put on full bed rest, but your doctor should give you the correct advisement based on severity.

I had a normal delivery, but did bleed a lot and placenta was a bit stubborn so it was a bit painful when they were pushing to help remove it.
