1 week old already?!

Had my cervix stretched at my 39 week appt, I was actually 39 weeks and 3 days at the time of the appt. after the stretch I was having mild cramping which I was told was common. Around 8pm I was experiencing mild contractions frequently 5-15 mins apart! Called my mom since boyfriend works nights and took a long walk around her neighborhood, the cramps got more intense during the walk but eased away for a little when we sat down and watched tv. Told myself to go to sleep and let the process happen naturally but I was too excited to actually fall asleep. Contractions got closer apart every 4-8 mins, we got up to go to L&D; at 1:30am. Got checked was only 1&1/2 cms was monitored for an hr and sent back home. I was told to come in when contractions were 3-5 mins apart and uncomfortable to the point of having to breath between them. I had constant contractions since leaving L&D; around 3am. On the way home we stopped and got some takeout (jackandthebox). By 6am I was crying through my contractions coming every 2-4 mins. At 7am we went back to L&D; I was only 2cm!! Gave me an hr told me to walk around and told me if I progressed I would be checked in and if not I would be sent home again ;( This really stressed me out because the pain I was in was unbearable. Turns out I was so tense from the contraction pains my uterus couldn't open, they hooked me up to an iv and have me some fluids and pain medicine that helped relax me. After getting the medicine and not tensing up for an hr I was finally at 3 1/2cm. I was finally admitted! Got my epidural around 12pm and was ready to push around 7pm, unfortunately my water was still intact and had to wait for the delivering dr to get out of emergency c section surgery before I could start pushing. Finally at 8:24 pm I had my lil boy after only 20 mins of pushing. I was 10cm ready for over an hr though just had to wait on the dr! Small tears only needed a couple stitches! Baby boy was 8 pounds 8 ounces and 20in long!
