I know memes aren’t facts, but I found this meme and investigated it. This elephants name was Tyke and the meme is true. Tyke escaped from being tortured in the circus and was brutally killed.

Yes because I am vegan and it's a part of my belief system that animals do not belong to me (or anyone) they are their own individual selves and They are not mine to use for food clothing labor entertainment ect .I feel that circuses such as they one shown above is an attack on their rights. No one should be forced to perform in shows regardless of their species

I remember being a kid and going to the circus for the first and only time.
I was 8 years old and loved animals. I grew up on a small farm and had a pony at the time. Loved my horses and chickens and all the animals we had, which were all pets. 
I remember at first being in awe of the animals, but then I started seeing things that really bothered me even as a child. One of the handlers leading a pony was using a riding crop to hit it in the face when it spooked instead of calming it kindly. Other things like that happened and I hated when whips were used with the big cats.
I ended up crying and loudly asking why they were hurting their animals. My parents just took me and we left. I never had any desire to go back and to this day I hate, hate, hate the idea of animals in a circus and do not understand how anyone finds that entertaining. 
Circus with only people in the acts? Awesome. But leave the animals out of it.
