Should a state government use tax laws to punish a corporation for taking a political position?

Ok CC, this is NOT another gun control debate my friends. (Please- I think  we all need a break from that.)  Do you agree with what Georgia did? Should a state government punish a corporation that chooses to end a discount program for NRA members, or is this going too far?

I live in GA and I'm so tired of hearing gun lovers bitch about this. They took away the NRA discounts that's it, which in my opinion I don't think any company should be getting discounts like they did. I'm glad they did it

The crazy thing is that Republicans are supposed to be anti-big government, anti red-tape and anti-punitive taxes.
 This just goes to show that they're only  against those things when it suits their narrative... they're happy to employ them when it furthers their agenda or widens their pockets.

I’m one of those people that feels all politicians are corrupt in one way or another. And when I heard about this it just set off all my corruption and conspiracy alarm bells. 
The government should not give a shit about a company choosing to withdraw a discount program from a non government organization. Makes me wonder how much the NRA has “contributed” to the governor’s campaign and such over the years.

I am so confused. Don't Republicans believe in free market? How is punishing a privately owned company for their decision concerning another privately owned company ok? Can someone explain?

I don't think we have all the information. I think people are happy to jump to conclusions and throw around accusations. 
Discounts with groups are negotiated with a contract. When the time is up both companies can decide whether they want to renegotiate things. Negotiations don't always go according to plan either. How do we know the contract wasn't up? How do we know that both parties couldn't come to an agreement during the negotiations? 
Airlines are continually cutting ties with groups to cut the discounts they have to give because they want more money. This is no different.
