IUD strings too long??

I got my IUD inserted in February 20th and since then I have been bleeding but today I went to put a tampon in and was feeling the opening of my vagina and I could feel the strings.. is that normal? Will they move or at my 4 week check will my doctor cut them?

seems a little low to me... you can probably ask them to cut them shorter. also make sure your iud isn’t out of place since they are so long

When I had my IUD put in the strings were also very long and bothered me, with time I just ignored it and they softened and curled up and now although they are still kind of long I don’t feel them and they don’t bother me. It’s been 5 1/2 weeks with it.

when my doc put mine in she said she left the stings long because sometimes the iud can readjust. she said she would go back in in a month and trim the strings accordingly.
