My birth story

An

First of all, I just knew my baby girl was going to come early and I was right. On February 22nd, I woke up feeling like I peed my self and knew right away it was my water. Luckily my husband has not left for work. I called the doctor who said to come in and get checked for amniotic fluid. I showered, we finished packing just in case, i sit to put my shoes and on SWOOSH, I swear I flooded our living room. No pad was going to stop the amount of water that was coming out. We get to the hospital and I’m having small contractions and 4 cm. Doc decided to put me on pitocin to decrease risk of infection and get my baby out. But, for some reason my body was having one long contraction with some peaks, felt like cramping, no matter how high the dosage went up. I was in labor for over 20 hours when my baby girl repositioned her self which allowed real contractions to start and I went from 4cm to 10 in 5 hours. That made me so happy because there was talk on c section. I pushed her out in 20 min or less without sweating or really doing any work, I just worked with my body and my baby. Unfortunate my blood pressure dropped to 50/30 and I started crashing after she was born but I was stabilized. My baby girl was born 8lb2oz and 20 inches long. Had two little internal stitches and did find some tearing when I got home but was told it should heal on its own. Now I am in love like never before and breastfeeding is the best thing I’ve ever experienced.
