My rainbow baby

My rainbow baby was born 8 minutes into my birthday! Here’s the story...

We brought our son to the zoo for the day and I was having what I thought were Braxton hicks contractions because they weren’t very strong but we’re about 4 minutes apart. We brought him to lunch after and then stopped at my parents house on the way home. At this point my contractions were every 2/3 minutes apart but only lasting 30 seconds and still no strong compared to my sons. I call my doctor and tell them what’s going on and they tell me to drink water and see if they stop within a hour. So we go home and I get in the tub, my contractions are not 2 minutes apart some less but still only lasting 30 seconds and not strong. My husband comes in and asks me how far apart they are and when I told him he stars freaking out tellling me I need to go to the hospital now. I get out of the tub and call my doctor and they give me the option to stay home or come in just to get checked. I wanted to stay home with my son but my husband forced me to go to the hospital with it being about 45 minutes away. We get to the hospital at around 8pm and get put in a room and on a monitor, contractions are at about an 8 but only lasting 30 seconds still. The nurse checks me and I’m 4 cm dilated and says she’ll come back in a hour to see if I’ve progressed and if they’ll admit me. An hour later she checks and I’m 5cm so they decide to admit me and here’s when the contractions start picking up but are still bearable. The nurse comes back in around 10 and I’m 7 cm. They decided not to check me anymore until I have pressure or feel like I have to push because being checked to many times can cause your cervix to rip. At around 11:45 my contractions are extremely strong and I tell my husband and nurse that I can feel her moving down. So finally at 12:03 I have a contraction and my water breaks & at 12:08 she was born! I only pushed for about 3-4 minutes and she was here. She came so fast that she had a bruise on her face but she was perfect😍 everyone meet my perfect rainbow baby Grace Olivia 6lbs 12oz 20 1/2 inches long. Born on mommy’s birthday 🎂
