“There’s something wrong with Aunt Diane”

Mi

Ok, so Diane Shuler was driving with her daughter, son, and 3 nieces home from camping alone. She wasn’t acting strangely according to any of the adults before she left the campsite with the mini van full of children.

She stopped once at a gas station, and CCTV shows her buying pain medication and acting completely normally. There was no sound so they aren’t sure how she was talking.

Anyway, she starts driving home and suddenly there are reports that the red mini van she is driving is out of control, honking, tailgating, straddling lanes, etc. Then she calls her husband to tell him that she is running late with traffic.

The next time she was seen was by people driving by looking as if she was vomiting.

An hour or two later one of the nieces calls her father and says that Diane couldn’t see, and was disoriented. The father told Diane to get off the road. She pulls over, but for some reasons leaves her phone there and drives off.

20-30 minutes later her minivan is seen going the wrong way on the interstate going 80 mph . The inevitable happens, and she crashes. 4/5 of the children, Diane, and 3 other people that were passengers in the other car died.

Now the controversy

Her blood alcohol level was .19, and there was a vodka bottle at the scene. This all points to that she was drunk, obviously.

But her husband, to this day, remains positive that she was not drunk. He claims she didn’t drink, and the bottle was the bottle they always kept in the camper. He thinks that whatever she was buying the pain medication for caused it. As well as every adult said that she was 100% sober when she left the campsite earlier in the day, and the clerk at the store where she bought the medicine said there was no way she was drunk.

SO what do y’all think? Was she drunk? Under the influence of something else? Completely sober and knew what she was doing?

(Excuses the spelling mistakes/grammar please, I’ll edit it after I post.)
