20 and learning to drive, permit first or just get license?

Question

I’m 20 and due to health problems earlier I didn’t get my permit/license. Now I bought my first car (it’s in my dad’s name for now) and my dad has been teaching me to drive around the neighborhood. In August and beyond I have appointments and things I have to drive myself to, and idk if I should just get my license or get my permit and wait to get my license? I live in FL so once we’re 18 or over, we don’t need a permit to get a license. I can just take the driving/written test at once. I just get worried about being pulled over even though my dad’s always with me because I don’t have a license. If I get my permit is it true I have to wait 12 months to get my license? Because in August I have things to drive alone to, like I said. Advice?

In my state, you can get your permit then your driver’s license literally a week after, if you are over 18. I’m almost 22, I have my license but I hate driving because I get anxious that I would get into an accident. I got my provisional license at 17 and a full license at 18. Yet, I still don’t want to drive 😅

I had severe anxiety growing up so I didn't start driving until I was 21, I got my license from the get go but I did take one of those 'student driver' classes that teaches you as you do it, and that also reduced my insurance
