Inner labia/possibly urethra pain

I recently had a night of sex with my new boyfriend a few days ago and I’m noticing some pain on my inner labia, the higher part near my urethra I think.

It stings when touched, and almost feels like maybe there’s some minor/microtearing going on. However, I think that part of the reason for this is that in the past day or two, it’s also been itchy there and I’ve woken up to scratching down there in my sleep.

I’m on my period and I’m wondering if the sex (unprotected since I’m on birth control) combined with the use of tampons and my foolish laziness (waiting a while after sex to pee) has led to me maybe developing bacterial vaginosis or some kind of infection (maybe a uti?)... No pain while peeing though, no other complaints than what I’ve listed.

I’m trying to decide if this is normal and will be better by Monday or if I should check to get in with my OB asap. Some advice or opinions would be awesome and appreciated!
