What am I doing wrong??

When I wear foundation it makes my skin look awful! Not to mention it makes me look older. I have very dry skin and I moisturize daily. But as  soon  as  I put  my foundation on it looks awful. Can anyone give me any tips or product recommendations to help with this.

What foundation & primer do you use?? Try exfoliating, use something like peter Thomas Roth firm x peeling gel, it’s expensive but it’s worth it! Try getting a sample of it if you don’t want to buy it yet, it’s the best at exfoliating. 
I use smashbox photo finish primer
Then I put concealer on almost all of my face (areas I notice it looks patchy.. so on my nose & the creases around my nose, my cheeks & my forehead.. I just started doing this because I’m on a medicine that changed my skin & I have 2 Estée Lauder foundations I plan to use before I go buy anything else lol 
Then I go in with Estée Lauder double wear foundation. 
Sometimes I’ll put soft ochre on my nose & other patchy areas before foundation too. I know it’s a lot of work/product but it’s working for me right now

I did also until I started using Clinique. They have a very subtle foundation, it’s amazing.

I use a primer then Estée Lauder double wear I have patches of dry skin around my nose and chin and it covers it I highly recommend 👌

I have exactly the same problem! my skin always looks flaky and dull with foundation but soo bad without! I tried using primer but that makes me too oily. I am thinking bb cream might help

You need a good primer and I suggest a large oval foundation brush. Put your primer on and wait about 5 minutes then put your foundation on the back of your hand. Use a finger to dip into the foundation and dab it on each cheek, your forehead, nose and chin then blend away with the oval brush. They have been the absolute best thing to make my foundation look airbrushed. My fingers and a blending sponge leave my foundation looking horrible. I use Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo Foundation mixed with Wet N Wild Cover All Cream Foundation.
