Lactose intolerant?

How to know if your baby is lactose intolerant? 
Anyone?

My son had that problem. He would scream after feedings and his tummy would stay rock hard. He had bad diarrhea. He got little bumps all over his face and head. We switched him to a hypoallergenic formula (Similac Alimentum) and he got better.

Lactose Intolerance/sensitive is VERY rare in babies. Lactose issues will usually present at about age 2+. Babies are more likely to have a cows milk protein allergy or soy allergy than lactose issues so a lactose free formula wouldn't make a difference. My LO would cry during and after feedings, frequent diarrhea, mucous in his stools, projectile vomiting and eczema. He has a milk protein and soy allergy. We are using a hypoallergenic formula.

It is very hard to pin point whether a baby is lactose intolerant because it is quite rare. But I think vomiting,diarrhoea, crying after or during feeds and bloating are a few symptoms. Prob best to speak to your Dr if you suspect it.
