recovery...

I am 10 days pp with my 3rd and final baby. I'm absolutely miserable. with my first two births I delivered vaginally. So this time around I expected a normal vaginal birth and expected to be recovered enough to go about my day normally by the time a week rolled around. that has not been the case. I went in to the hospital and labored all day. i stopped dilating at about 7 cm so they turned on some pitocin. at about the same time my epidural stopped working. It was like I became immune to the medication all of a sudden. They tried upping the dose and giving me a bolus nothing worked. I finally dilated to 9.5 cm and I stopped dilating. by that point I was in so much pain it was almost unbearable. The midwife who was delivering wanted me to push through the half cm that was still tbere. I tried to do exactly that. But It seemed impossible. after two hours of pushing and her cramming her hand inside me literally up to her elbow I had had enough. I was losing my breathe from the pain and my chest started hurting. I BEGGED this woman for a c-section.she refused to go get the obgyn on call and told me to keep pushing. So I did. A short time later I knew something was wrong, I have never begged someone to help me like I BEGGED her to please give me a c-section. I even told her something was wrong. My husband was even begging her at that point. eventually the nurse got tired of watching me suffer and when the midwife left the room she went and got the obgyn. He checked me and immediately told me I needed a c-section because my baby was sideways in the birth canal and his head has swelling. At that point my midwife had made me push for 6 hours. went we got to the OR they did a spinal block and did my c-section. now that I am home I have gotten to where I can move around more and more. My problem is my hips. It is becoming more and more difficult to walk and get up off the couch because of the hip pain I have been having. My incision has little to no pain. I'm just wondering if anyone has any idea the source of my hip pain or suggestions on how to decrease it.
