Taking baby on holiday at 8 weeks old

My husband really wants to go on a trip that’s booked with his family but the thought of taking our tiny baby out of our comfort zone makes me very nervous- we’ll still be getting used to such a huge transition as this is our first baby. I’ve also been told there are risks to the baby who will be more susceptible to infection which I’d really like to avoid.
