how much & often is everyones little eating?
my son is almost three months old & i feel like he may be wanting to eat so frequently still.
he eats five to six ounces every bottle, most of the time it's five & a half to six ounces. & he still wants to eat every two hours but we distract him until at least three. he sleeps through the night, anywhere from six to nine or ten hours. he is mainly breastfed, i pump & nurse about once a day to stretch one of his feedings out in the evening when he wants to eat every two hours. which means he's nursing about 25-30 minutes on each breast & then still wanting a five to six ounce bottle. which is also the main reason why i don't breastfeed because he still wants a bottle after & i'm basically double feeding him & losing out on at least a half pumped bottle.
i think the amount he eats is normal but i feel like four hours is what he should be waiting at three months. unless i'm totally wrong! i also supplement a formula bottle before bed maybe two or three days a week, those tend to be his six ounce bottles & he sleeps through the night after the longest. so i'm not sure if the breast milk isn't filling him up enough or what.
i figured i'd get an idea of how much everyone else's little one is eating to see if he's on track! here's my cute chunker! you can tell he's definitely not missing out on any feedings! 😂
